Dear Bride & Groom
I am a professional wedding photographer that specialises in reportage-style photography and I always strive to shoot unobtrusively, creating genuine, documentary-style images. I capture those precious moments and tell the story of your wedding day in an artistic, romantic and truthful way. As a photographer I adopt a tactful, friendly, light-hearted approach which puts you at ease and, in turn, results in stunning photographs! Many of my clients have kindly remarked that when the photo-shoot is over they feel like they go away with a new friend and I couldn’t agree with them more!
When the big day comes…
I start to document the day whilst the Bride and Groom are getting ready (getting those detailed shots including, wedding dress, wedding rings, hair and make-up, shoes etc.). Throughout the day, photographs will be taken that capture the key moments in the service, speeches, wedding breakfast, reception and dancing… not forgetting the smaller personalised details often overlooked by many wedding photographers (I love details!). I tend to take a mixture of black and white and colour images, although I aim to tailor my approach according to your needs.
My style is very much ‘reportage’. I work quickly and efficiently, making sure I have an extensive and varied selection of images including formal photographs and wedding couple portraits. My work is mainly unobtrusive. Throughout the day, I direct very little. I let you get on with your day and I capture the events as they unfold. I am very discreet in the church service. I discuss with the Vicar beforehand what I am allowed to do during the service. Throughout the day I produce photojournalistic style images, however when we do the couple portraits I usually scout out some locations beforehand and we set-up some images. Some of my couples get nervous about this part but I have to stress that this is sooo informal and fun. The winning shots are created just before or after I have “posed” you, without you even knowing, trust me!
